Day Seventy-Six - Down by the Creek

It's nice to see something living swimming in the creek for once. Mostly you either see dead things, near dead things or nothing. Companies like to bring their waste and dump it in this creek... and the council wonders why it tends to smell awful and look even worse. The council has also spent many recent weeks 'fixing' up the trail and re-bedding the creek. Some of it looks nice... the lack of shade isn't particularly nice though (just saying).

Today was paddock work - taking horses out of the stables and dropping them off, picking horses up from one agistment property and dropping them at another and picking them up and bringing them into the stables. Skater came too and I think its fair to say that he had more fun than anyone else, snapping at cars and hanging out windows. Elmo and Baby Bonus also arrived back from their short breaks, happy days for them. I also scored a beanie. Win!

Day Sixty-Eight - Road Trip!

Yep, Bendigo road trip, day trip, whatever. Up at 8.30am out the door at 9.30am made it to Bendigo racecourse at 11.40isham. The occassion? DeeDee's first race. It was okay, she was 9th (of 11) over the line. Jockey said she'll have learnt plenty from today. Onwards and upwards. The action shot is of Top Bell winning the fourth event. Then there's this super cool dog we encountered on the way home. It was ute surfing! Now that's something you don't see in the city. And then to round off a pretty good day - a rainbow.

Day Sixty-Five - JETTY!

Prepare for take off!

Yep, Jet has made a return to my blog. This is what happens when you have appointments after school. Yesterday it was an XRAY, today it was the dentist, tomorrow its off to see the surgeon. Woo. But back to Jet. He's just, you know, silly and awesome all at the same time. In the image he's about to jump up onto my bed to find the shoe box I moved off the floor. He went on to try and fit himself in it. He likes to try and squeeze into things he shouldn't fit into.

Day Sixty-Four - Sky before Eight

I've always liked the sky best before the sun is too high in the sky

I go outside to collect the paper every morning and the sky is always spectacular. Though it never occured to me that I should take a photo of it until this morning. I'm glad I did. And there it is. Sort of makes those 4 degree mornings that little bit more bearable.
