Day Fifty-Two - DeeDee

Our racehorse

I didn't take todays photo, Dad did, because I had to go to school. But I thought it was appropriate so yeah. This is our filly. She's a 2yo and is one step closer to racing. She ran second in todays trial

Days Fifty and Fifty-One - Hah, made it to Fifty

Day Fifty (congratulate me, I made it to 50)

Textbooks and such

Hello revision that is probably never going to happen... its just that, well, I'm on the road to becoming a pokemon master. Exams are just going to have to wait.

Day Fifty-One

Its a dragon!

..Multiple Personality Snake..

I was clearly having far too much fun this morning when my sister bought out her 'play-doh'. Pokemon and play-doh, life is good. I'm never growing up!

Day Forty-Nine - I really Should Just Have a Blog for Jet

Yes, he hides in bags. And I carried him around in this bag Paris Hilton style. He wasn't impressed.

Day Forty-Eight - I'm Aware of What I said

But...

Jet is truly dopey and I had to share this. He'd tried to fit himself in the fruitbowl on our dining room table. And this is a fair sized bowl. He's just a rather big cat...

Day Forty-Six - More Leave, More Autumn, More Cold

The Days are getting Darker

The days are getting darker,
The world is less green.
The sun hides behind iron sheets,
Replaced by cold harsh rains.

The leaves tumble from their sky high perches,
Leaving the trees to shiver in the cold.
Colour turns to shades or brown,
The feeling is audibly down.

But just when you feel you can't bear any more,
the sun peeks from behind its sheets.
Warming the world, filling it with colours.
Its spring

Yeah so my poetry is pretty average.

Day Forty-Five - Reflections in a Puddle

Upside Down Tree

I know what this doesn't look like - the reflection of a tree upside down in a puddle. But thats what it is. And it took forever to get this shot right, so it better be appreciated!

I kid, I kid... appreciate it or appreciate it not at your own will. It rained plenty today, and was basically the grey and dreary. And its not ever winter yet.

Days Forty-three and Forty-four

Day Forty-Three - 16th

Yes, this is my best friend

And no, I can't believe I've been seen in public with her either. Haha jokes Lily, I love you. This was taken at a friend's 16th birthday party. It was a dress up party, and 'a themed' one, so you had to dress up as something beginning with 'a'. Lily failed at being an aqua goth, and I went as myself. Clever no?

Day Forty-Four

The front door

This is our front door. So obviously there isn't a whole lot to say about said front door....

Day Forty-two - Drain Pipe

Drain Pipe

Continuing with my love of reflection, I give you the reflection of the drain pipe over the pool. Pretty cool, I know. I've previously shot up this pipe, and it looks orange inside in sunlight, which is even cooler.

Day Forty-one - Cobweb

Cobweb on the Kangaroo Paw

You can tell this is a loved plant. Ahaha. I'm more interested to know which spider is the culprit. Anyway...

Day Forty - Moon in the Light of Day

Cool huh

I totally had one of those "Where is a camera when you need one" moments at school today. We were sitting on a bench at lunch and I desperatley wanted to take a photo, but I couldn't. So what have a learnt from today? Take a camera to school. But I ended up with this photo of the moon in the afternoon sky. I happen to think its awesome, and well I don't care you don't like it... Just ignore it yeah.

Day Thirty-nine - Reflections

Odd...

Lately I've found myself entraced by reflections and shadows. I don't really know what to say about this shot, its a bit of an odd composition (another of my accidents) but I quite like it, so I thought I'd share this one.

Day Thirty-eight - Winter Sunset

Sunset's are stunning aren't they?

Today was a pretty good day, and it ended fittingly with this beautiful sunset. The depression thing is I took this photo just before 5pm. Yep, 5pm. Sad, I know. Bring back summer!

Days Thirty-six and Thirty-seven - Reserve and Living Legends

Day Thirty-six....

On The Reserve

Firstly, my apologies for missing a day - I was away from home all day saturday. Onto the photo - Some cool things have happened on this reserve. Though it's pretty bare we always manage to invent something stupid, but fun, to do. Unfortunately none of the cool people were there so I took this photo of my sister, her cousin and the dog. Fun times.

Day Thirty-seven...

Apache Cat!

Today took myself, my mum and my friend Jacinta to Living Legends - the International Home of Rest for Champion Racehorses. My favourite racehorse recently retired to Living Legends and I thought it was high time we payed him a visit - and some people from Living Legends told us to let them know when we were coming, so we could get into the paddocks with the horses. Awesome? Most definitely.
During our visit we got to meet Hong Kong's former champion racehorse Silent Witness - otherwise known as 'Silly' Witness, and he is very silly. But cute. It was great to see Apache again as they last time I saw him he was pretty unhappy. But I was assured he had settled in and he was up for cuddles today!

Cuddles for Apache
(He could taste the hay from work on my hands)
(I obviously did not take this photo)

Day Thirty-Five - Autumn or Winter?

Autumn Leaves

So while officially we are still in Autumn, this week was totally winter. It hasn't been this cold and grey since forever. I saw the above tree while we were driving home from school and I decided that I was going to walk back and take a photo, and I did.

Day Thirty-Four - I'm sorry

Jet

This is the last time I'm going to post an image of a cat for quite some time, I swear. I took one photo on our city trip today and it was a TERRIBLE photo, so I'm very sorry.

Day Thirty-Three - My Wooden Horse

The Horse in Question

So quite obviously this is a horse. Perhaps its not so obvious, but thats what it is. I was told it is a 'Norwegian Luck Horse' and I can't say its overly lucky, but perhaps I need to carry it around more. Either way I like the horse, I think its pretty and cool.

Day Thirty-Two - Ninja Kitty

I see you!

Jet is pretty ninja. He's black, quick and totally pyscho. I regularly chase this cat around the house and its all a massive game to him, he just wants to play. Today he hit behind the rug that was draped over the back of the couch and was peeking out from under it (as above) and he'd every so often come out and claw your fingers if you got too close.

I think its safe to say that I have a pretty awesome cat.

Day Thirty-One - Beach Ball

My Beach Ball

You all already know Lewis. But not only did this photo come up awesome with the reflection on our floorboards, I have a story. We've started calling him 'beach ball' because he quite literally resembles a beach ball when he rolls, a beach ball with four sticks coming out of it. So I yelled "BEACH BALL" and he came. I feel kind of bad about this. Sorry Lewis...

Day Thirty - Mother's Day

On the Swing

The Kids and Mum

The first photo was one I took, at the park, of my own hand. Interesting, I know. I just thought it came up cool, and you can see the scar on my finger hehe, war wound! Jet and I have these little play fights...

The second photo I obviously did not take, Dad took it. But its of Mum, my brother, my sister and I. I thought it was appropriate given today was Mother's Day and all.

Day Twenty-Nine - Meet Tyson

Tyson

This morning was another work morning. Thankfully it didn't rain and it wasn't foggy. Tyson is the pony at our stable. He's lovely and very personable, so I thought he should get his own post.

Day Twenty-Eight - Rocks

My Rocks

I find rocks fascinating. If I go somewhere for a holiday, I bring a rock home. These are rocks from a recently holiday in Merimbula. I'm not fond of Merimbula but they have cool rocks there. And I took this photo in the dark so I think it worked out quite nice.

Day Twenty-Seven - Soccer Training

Soccer Ball

My brother had soccer training tonight. I didn't go, because its cold, but I'm hoping to go to one of his games sometime. I figured the soccer ball was much more exciting than the rock I intended to photograph. Tomorrow perhaps. Hehe

Day Twenty-Six - Tulips in the Sun

A Sunny Moment

Today was a student free day, and I thought about going outside this morning. I decided against it and played ps3 instead. These are the tulips in the vase on our dining room table. I walked past and the sun was conveniently shining. This made me happy. Going back to school tomorrow does not make me happy.

Day Twenty-Five - Friends or Not?

The Boys

Once again while I was not attending school (I was sick, promise) I was wandering around the house aimlessly with my camera and saw our cats together. So I snapped this shot. It looks friendly, but really this is Lewis tricking Jet. He continued licking Jet in a friendly manner and then bit him. All this to ask Jet to play. Weird.

Day Twenty-Four - What's This You Ask?

Shades of Orange

I came home, looked at my camera and went "Hrrr... what am I going to take a photo of today". I came up with this. It's looking up a plastic pipe just by the way. Not edited in any way, shape or form. It's all 120% my photographic awesomeness. I'm so modest, I know. But its pretty cool no? I like how the light filters through at the top

Day Twenty-Three - Late Afternoon

Soccer and Washing

Today was filled with Mothers Day shopping, and some shopping for other things and I arrived home with some new t-shirts and a new pair of shoes (which is huge for me). We were shopping from midday til about 4.30pm, so long day. Then I got home and realised I had a million things to do before Merlin came on and I was in ninja mode for awhile. I snapped this photo of my Dad hanging out the washing (he didn't like this photo at all) and my brother practising his soccer skills. You also get a bit of a look at our backyard.

Day Twenty-Two - Work Morning

Sunrise

It's been a long while since I've seen an exceptional sunrise, and I've seen a few so far this year. Not that the morning was so spectacular at 3.50am, heavy fog everywhere, and not to mention the garden skink I found residing in my shoe... (I knew something was moving in there) Once the fog began to lift it was okay, but wow it was cold. But I am enjoying working with the racehorses again, so its been really good. The photo isn't the best quality, but thats what happens in half light, while your using a little camera and walking a horse (shhh). But I absolutely loved this sunrise, it was so much better in person and this image so does not do it justice. The colours were amazing, the blues and greens as well as the pinks, oranges and yellows. Just stunning.

See you tomorrow!

Penina

(I know, its a one photo thing, but I couldn't resist sharing this photo of one of the mares at work checking out the camera. She's just beautful this one)
