Day 115 - Attack!

So its a very average (lets face it, shite) photo. But, Jet pounced on Lewis this afternoon and it was a small but amusing moment.

Day 114 - Memsie Stakes Day

The sun shone for Memsie Stakes Day, which was nice. Some great horses started their campaigns in the Memsie too.

Days 112 and 113

Day 112

It rained on and off today. This is the shadow of some raindrops that were on the window.

Day 113

Meet Fang! It's not really called Fang, but they promote the plant as "Fang". It's a Venus Fly trap, which is a carnivorous plant. I've always wanted one of these and now I have one. Joy!

Day 110 - Snoozing

Jet's back. This time we find him sleeping on my bean bag. We thought we'd lost him, but no, he was asleep in the house the whole time. Silly us. He was clearly quite content with his new bed - too bad for him he's not sleeping there at night!

Day 109 - Work Morning

This horse couldn't be bothered with today

Bruce looking suspiciously cool at the pool
He's my boy!

Snowy showing his best side

Mea and Vonnie having a girl sesh

Snowy letting us know he wants in too

Yes, today was a work day and like the horse in the first photo, I couldn't be bothered. But I went and it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Apologies for the shocking images, but you can't carry an SLR while working with horses...

Day 108 - Ducks

This duck, and its buddy, have been visiting our pool quite regularly in the last few days. I mean, its quite nice to find a couple of ducks enjoying your pool when you can't.

Day 105 - Geelong Races

So today I may have skipped school and gone to Geelong races with my favourite horse - Meander Valley. I strapped her, which was awesome, and she was nearly my first winner. NEARLY! She came second, but she was flying home. Next time perhaps.

Days 103 and 104

Look weird? Thinking I've coloured in a white square on Photoshop? It's not weird or photoshopped! It's just the sky. A wondrous blue sky.

Another flower bud. It seems that spring is just around the corner.

Days 101 and 102

Another shot of the sky.
I quite like the sky, you know, just in case you hand't noticed.

Remember this bud?

Didn't I get the shock of my life when I peeked in there and found that bee...

Day One Hundred - Yes!

I did it, one hundred days. Awesome. This is my shell mobile! More rather, an odd shot of my shell mobile, but I feel it is quite interesting. Enjoy.

Day Ninety-Nine - Justi

So I obviously did not take this photo. Mum did. My old charge at my first job - Justice. I adored this horse, he was the first horse at that stable that was exclusively 'mine' that no one else did anything with while I was around. We bonded and I even took him to the races once, for his final start for that stable. Today marks one year since I said goodbye. Monumentally painful at the time, still sad now. You may laugh, but I loved and adored this horse.
This photo was taken in May last year, a few days after her returned to the stables following an injury enforced lay off. We made a special trip to the stables just to visit him.

Day Ninety-Eight - Grey Day

This photo doesn't really convey how awesome today was. But I was feeling rather boring and lazy after school so for all you people enjoying the sun somewhere... meet moody Melbourne!

Oh, but I have some excited DeeDee related news... She amongst nominations for the Melbourne Cup! (as well as a few other Spring races) She won't even end up racing in it, but its still cool to say the least.

Day Ninety-Seven - Watching for Jet...

Lewis was watching to see where Jet would jump out from. We watched him come out the back door and then he disappeared...

Day Ninety-Six - Driving Home

Landscape

Patrobas

Here's a fun fact. Patrobas is the Gippsland's only Melbourne Cup winner. He was the Cup winner of 1915 and also won the Caulfield Guineas and Derby in the same year. Not bad for a three-year-old!

But yes, today was the boring drive back to Melbourne. It was nice and sunny in Lakes Entrance and it remained nice and sunny until we got to Traralgon. It all went down hill from there and we were greeting in Melbourne by rain. Oh the joys of being from Melbourne.

Peace,

- Adrienne
